"I travelled from Germany to the Irish Piano Pedagogy Conference in Dublin and it was 100% worth it. As a new teacher I found it a very welcoming/friendly atmosphere for me to ask all the many questions I had, and I took a lot of inspiration from the many creative ideas that were presented. I felt like I'd found my people!"

No. The IPPC is an independent, community-led initiative. It is open to all piano teachers regardless of affiliation.

The IPPC is coordinated by Nicola Cantan in collaboration with a growing team of piano educators across Ireland. The conference is a non-institutional, community-driven initiative focused on connection, inclusion and professional growth.
Is this only for piano teachers?
The sessions and topics will be specific to piano. However, teachers of other instruments are extremely welcome. Just be aware that you'll likely have to adapt some of the ideas.
What if I can't attend?
If you purchase an earlybird ticket but something comes up and you're unable to attend, just email us before March 1st, 2027 to get a refund.
Is it weird to come alone?
Not at all! It's normal to feel a bit nervous or shy but most people come by themselves and everyone is very welcoming and friendly.
"I feel so full in many ways after this wonderful weekend. My head is bursting with ideas and inspiration and I feel motivated to expand my teaching and take my studio to the next level. It felt supportive to be surrounded by other like-minded teachers and it was an opportunity to talk through all the issues that normally just run around my own head! Thank you - I will be back!"
